Actor, musician and author Keanu Reeves made a surprise visit to a Santa Rosa comic book shop Oct. 15 to sign issues of his latest comic book series, “BRZRKR.“

OP Comics & Games employee Martin Rivera shared a photo he took of Reeves during his visit on the social media platform Discord on Tuesday.

Reeves called the store near Coddingtown Mall about 15 minutes before stopping in the shop, according to Santa Rosa resident Pedro Saldana Avila, one of OP Comics & Games regular customers.

By the look of his hat and a video posted recently on Instagram, it appears the “John Wick” star was in Sonoma County to take part in the Arch Motorcycle company’s annual owner’s riding event.

Reeves, a motorcycle enthusiast who cofounded Arch Motorcycles with custom bike builder Gard Hollinger, has held these owner’s rides in Sonoma County before. In 2019, Farmhouse Inn in Forestville hosted the event.

The Sonoma County visit was Reeves’ third known trip to the North Bay since May. In May, he played BottleRock Napa Valley with his band Dogstar and returned with the band in August to perform at Napa’s Uptown Theatre.

First published in 2021, “BRZRKR” is a 12-issue comic book series created and written by Reeves and Matt Kindt and drawn by Ron Garney.

The fantasy superhero story follows an immortal warrior, known as Berzerker, as he fights his way through the ages.

In addition to single issues, the series was released in three paperback volumes, each containing four issues.
