The ATP tour since 2003 has seen different versions of Novak Djokovic. Since his teens, Djokovic has constantly evolved to meet the needs of the game. His playing style and attitude on the court have only improved. But there have been certain habits that he has carried with him throughout his life. Djokovic is known to give utmost priority to his physical health.

In an interview with Roland Garros, the Serbian answered questions about his personal life. When asked about having tattoos, Djokovic said, “I have never got a tattoo. I’m talking about now, you never know. But, I’m just not the kind of guy to leave ink permanently on my skin. I just don’t like that feeling.” His answer made it clear that tattoos are not for his taste.

While many players have been spotted having tattoos, Djokovic does not have the plan to have one. Meanwhile, his present arch-rival, Carlos Alcaraz, has multiple tattoos, each of which signifies a milestone in his career. Most of the players from the next generation have been fond of tattoos. It has been a different scenario for Djokovic’s past arch-rival, Rafael Nadal.

Rafael Nadal opens up on tattoos and piercings

Nadal has recently been spending time on recovery to sculpt an inspiring comeback. He has only played a single event this season. Nadal hopes to play more matches this year, as it might be his last on the professional tour. Fans would like to see more of the sleeveless Nadal, who used to rock his biceps every time on the court.

One of the first things fans noticed during his sleeveless days was that he had no tattoos. When asked about tattoos and piercings, Nadal said, “Body art isn’t for me. I’ll never have a tattoo – I just don’t like them, and when you’re old they can look a disaster. As for piercings, I don’t like them on men.” The Spaniard was sure of not getting a tattoo in the future.

The 37-year-old was recently seen traveling to the US on the same flight as Djokovic. Nadal is expected to play at the Netflix slam against Alcaraz in Las Vegas on March 3. He hopes to recover and play at the major events this year. Fans are eager to witness Nadal dominate the sport like before.
