Taylor Swift fans have been left outraged after a woman was seen in social media video using Shazam during one of the pop star’s Sydney concerts.

TikTok user nessatlx shared a clip of the concertgoer holding her phone in the air and using the music discovery app to find the title of a song as the singer performed Champagne Problems.

Several fans expressed their anger on social media and claimed the woman shouldn’t have attended the concert if she didn’t know the pop star’s songs.

‘This is why we couldn’t get tickets because Karen knew Shake it Off and ‘that Shakespeare one’,’ one disappointed fan wrote.

‘And meanwhile I cry myself to sleep every night because I am missing the most iconic historical event that will ever exist in my life time,’ another raged.

One person said: ‘I swear there should be a mini quiz before u buy a ticket to solve.’

However, other fans defended the woman and suggested she may have attended the concert with her daughter and wasn’t familiar with all the songs.

‘This is actually so sweet 🙁 I’m sure she came with her daughter or someone and realised just how beautiful Taylor’s lyricism is,’ one person commented.

‘Imagine being her. Imagine her experience of falling in love with this masterpiece live for the first time. What a truly blessed experience she has,’ another said.

‘I went to 1989 with my mom, who probably only knew the words to Shake It Off and Love Story. I’m still glad I took her when I was 15. You don’t need to know the lyrics to every song to get a ticket,’ a third agreed.
